For my project I am estimating that I will need about 5,000 dollars.
If anyone thinks they have any of these needed devices and are willing to donate it please let me know.
Here is a ROUGH breakdown of how I am going to allocate my funds.
Power
Final Fusor
Power Supply - 100-2,000
I will need a x-ray transformer that can produce 75 kv.
20 Amp Variac - 250
Demo Fusor Power - Done
7.5 Amp Variac - 100 - Purchased
Chamber
Final Fusor
Inner Chamber - 20 - 50
I will be making a sphere out of 4 circles of .25 inch thick tungsten wire.
Demo Fusor Chamber- Done
6" T vacuum chamber - purchased
Vacuum - Done
Two Stage Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump - Purchased
Diffusion Pump - Purchased
Vacuum Gauge and Controller - Purchased
Viewing
Camera and TV - 50 - 200
This is for viewing the fusion risk free from x-rays or radiation.
Gas
Heavy Hydrogen - 200-500
Deuterium gas is not cheap or readily available to the public.
Mass Flow Controller - 500-1,000
This is a device that electronically can control the amount of gas that is being released into the chamber.
Detection
Geiger Counter - 100-1000
This is a key element in detection.
BTI Bubble Detection - Cheap
I know these are very easy to use and inexpensive devices.
He-3/B-11 lined neutron detection tube - 200
NIMs to control and use the above tube - 300
Connections and everything else
500 - 2,000
I need all vacuum proof and SS connections and several odd devices that will be difficult to get.
